“I was pleased with their quick response to my email enquiries and the precise quotes
given. Dave has now carried out two jobs for me. He is friendly, tidy, professional and
highly experienced. On both occasions he phoned to let me know he was on the way. Yes,
they really do small jobs, if required; the first work done was just fitting an extra socket. He
also gave very useful advice and explained clearly what was needed in the subsequent
job. I highly recommend dkp Electrics and will definitely contact them for any further
electrical work I may need”
Nigel Musk, Stanmore HA7

“We have just had Dave finish some electrical work for us and it is the second time we
have used his services. He is absolutely fantastic, reliable, hard working and really knows
his stuff. He was incredibly flexible too when we were waiting on some deliveries for him to
finish his work which I really appreciated. I would absolutely recommend Dave and dkp
electrics who have been spot on from start to finish.”
Lu Lu, Ealing, London W5
“1. Very professional, total peace of mind.
2. Made notes throughout and explained point by point.
3. Issued certificates (new install and inspection) only after being satisfied that the
standards have been met and there are no health and safety hazards. Council approved
the work based on the certificates issued.
4. Ensured that the site is left clean on every single day.
Will definitely hire for next year's project.”

the job. Price was exactly as quoted and he did a great and tidy job. Would definitely use
DKP Electrics again.”

work for us shortly after we moved into our new house. Dave changed the fuse box and
did full electrical testing and certification as well as changing some light fittings for us. We
would definitely recommend him. He also does burglar alarms and CCTV as well!”
Wesley & Michelle Welcomme, Ruislip HA4
“We have used Dave at dkp twice now and couldn't be more pleased. Very professional

for us, but we would not hesitate in recommending Dave and dkp for any jobs, large or
small. Excellent all round - thank you!”
Karen Cobb, Northolt UB5
“Dave is the best electrician I have ever used! Great communicator, great service, and a
pleasure to work with. I thoroughly recommend him ...”
Helen Gleeson, Hertfordshire Watford & St Albans WD17, AL1
“I am very pleased with the work dkp electrics carried out in my kitchen, extension and
office, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I've dealt with many tradesmen over the
years and it's not been a very pleasant experience, however when i used dkp electrics it
was like a breath if fresh air. The electrician was very easy to talk to, he listen to exactly
what I wanted and had some very good advice to get the best out of the work. They were
recommended to me by my neighbour and i will also recommend to anyone else. You get
what you pay for with tradesmen and I'm happy with every penny i spent.”
Chandni Dudhaiya, Fulham SW6
“Dave is a honest and very reliable Electrician, he gave quote so quick and was a very
reasonable quote. With all the registration and certificate.
Would highly recommend.”
Vanessa Clarke, Ealing W5
“Very reliable and did a great job!!”
Ricky Ricky, Kensington, West Brompton SW6
“I used DKP to install Cat 5E network cabling throughout my flat. The electrician was
always on time (if not early!), and provided a very reasonable quote. They completed the
work quickly, with no hidden costs, and did a good job cleaning up after themselves
(which, considering they had to drill through a foot thick wall, was no easy task).
I will not hesitate to use them again. Super impressed.”
Ben Rowe, Richmond TW9
“Knowledgable, professional, friendly, tidy - they were absolutely great.
We had some light fittings moved and additional sockets installed. We were offered great
advice and everything undertaken is exactly what we wanted.
Would recommend to anyone.”
Dan McGuinness, Ruislip, HA4
“Prompt, friendly and professional. Highly recommended.”
Home User, Uxbridge UB8
“I've used DKP for two years now. They've put in an extraction fan into the bathroom,
another above a hob, and did a full electrical survey fixing numerous issues along the way
that another electrician had caused. Courteous, clean, on time, do what they say they'll do
and in a world where you get what you pay for, good value. Would highly recommend and
will use again.”
Me Me, Acton W3
“DKP Electrics wired my home office with new electrics, fitted new internal and external
security lighting and also wired my internet points/network cables. I was extremely pleased
with the level of service and professionalism. I would highly recommend their services.”
Daniel Patel SAP Recruitment Expert, Middlesex HA4
“Genuinely friendly and reasonably priced Electricians. They were quick to respond with a
free quote and gave some really helpful advice on what I could do (boxing in spotlights
over a large bathroom mirror). They also gave some suggestions on what other options I
should consider to enhance the look I wanted. It was advice rather than a sales pitch!
Everything was promptly fitted and certified. having had a couple of other quotes I found
DKP very competitive overall.
I have used them twice so far and would recommend them highly.”
Steven Carroll, Radlett WD7
“I recently used this company for an emergency. There was a burning smell coming form
my water heater just before it stopped working.
I searched the internet and came across dkp electrics, they sent an electrician to my
house on the same day. The electrician found the problem and fixed it.
I'm glad i used this company, not only was the price good, they also had the materials
needed in the van to fix the problem.
Considering this was an emergency call out, the price given was very fair. I'm really
pleased with the service, and would highly recommend this company.”
Mary Sebastian, Kingston KT2
“DKP electrics have done a fantastic job for us over the past couple of weeks. They
delivered a professional, extremely high quality, and good value for money set of
extensive pieces of work on our property. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Really
excellent workmanship. Look no further.”
Niel Chapman, Middlesex, HA6
“I needed a new cooker point in my kitchen and from initial meeting with electrician Dave
to the end of the project I was very satisfied. He was very knowledgeable, professional,
helpful and friendly. Job was done in high standard, very clean and tidy, all the waste
collected. I was delighted with the way he worked. Beaten all quotes given to me.
Definitely recommending them. Many thanks.”
Rastislav Havas, Ickenham UB10
“I've used DKP Electrics quite a few times now, the first time was when I first bought my
house and needed all the rewiring done and at the same time I had my fuse box changed
and updated. A couple of years later I then had an extension done and needed to call
them back because on two separate occasions two light switches blew in my kitchen
extension (I dont think that the electricians that came with my builders did a very good
job!), so DKP Electrics found the faults and fixed the problem! I've also had them move a
few plugs and light switches and fit some new lights and more recently I bought a house
alarm and needed someone to fit and set it up which they did no problem. They have also
set up a great smoke alarm in my house too, its connected to both a battery and the main
electrics!
If you need a top rated electrician then look no further as they are friendly, reliable and
reasonably priced! Highly recommend!”
Tina Prajapat, Colindale London NW9
“Reliable, decent and honest electricians, I needed an electrician to wire my extension,
after lots of quotes and meeting other electricians they were far better than anyone else.
They knew exactly what they were talking about, I felt completely at ease knowing the job
was being done properly. Couldn't be happier and highly recommend dkpelectrics.”
Arrivaman, Edgware HA8
“I highly recommend dkp Electrics. I was very pleased by their quick response to my email
enquiries. Yes, they really will do small jobs if required. I had just an extra socket fitted.
The job was carried out in a friendly, professional and tidy manner and they came at the
appointed time. I am so impressed by their service that I have employed them again to do
further work for me.”
Anonymous, West London
“Excellent, reliable. Always finds a way to solve a problem. Have had work done on three
occasions. Strongly recommended.”
Laurie, Eastcote HA4
Below are some examples of work we have carried out over the years. We don't always have time with our busy schedule of work to take pictures of every installation, but this does not mean if you don't see what you are looking for here we haven't carried out the work in the past.
We hope that by having a glimpse at our work you can see that we take pride in every job we do big or small and approach each as if it was in our own house.
Search for dkp Electrics on G o o g l e and click on our google listing for more pictures.
Get in touch with any questions you may have, we will be happy to speak with you.
This is an example of a fuse board (consumer unit) installed in Chorleywood WD18 after fully rewiring the property. The cover has been removed to show you a neat and organised arrangement of the unseen wiring which is a reflection on all the unseen work we carry out. No bodge jobs behind the scenes where the customer can not see the work. We continue this quality throughout all our installation work big or small.
We have installed LED lighting to create many different lighting effects in sky lights, bedroom cupboards, floating ceilings, bathrooms & mirrors, kitchens, cabinets, gardens, the list is endless. This is one example of LED lighting we installed in a bathroom recessed shelf near Richmond TW9. We can install most colours tailored to what you require including colour changing lighting. These can be controlled via wall switches or smart phone devices, timers or with independent on/off switches.
This picture shows 6 LED downlights installed in a dining area with 4 ceiling speakers (only 2 can be seen) in Radlett HA3. We had to adapt the usual layout of the downlights in this to a 2 in 4 out because the joist and wooden noggins inside the the old cottage ceiling were blocking every way we wanted to position the lights, eventually ending up with this arrangement. There are a few clever ways to get around awkwardly positioned joists which we use in these situations to make them look good. The customer was very happy with the end result especially after seeing how difficult it was. All lights fire rated and fitted with LED programmable dimmers.
Here is another angle of the electrics we installed in a kitchen in Radlett, Middlesex. 10 downlights are fitted with a mains powered heat detector and ceiling speakers. The kitchen was new and fully rewired with new socket positions, cooker circuit & appliances. All electrics are installed in compliance with current wiring regulations tested and NICEIC certificated. We also take care of notifying Building Control for all our work where required, so with the electrics there is no other involvement of council inspectors, we take care of it all.
Here are 3 stages of work from a property in Radlett. We started our work once the brick work and roof were complete. At this stage we ran all wiring for electrics. Once we installed the wiring the plastering was carried out. Then the kitchen installed, once the kitchen was in we finish off the electrics, test and switch on, Finished! We carry out all work to a high standard and are professionals in every aspect of the electrical wiring throughout the job. We also carry out many complex wiring jobs to run specialist equipment, so if you have something which might be a little unusual or out of the ordinary, I am sure we can customise the wiring to suit.
We carry out fault finding (diagnostic work) on circuits which are nuisance tripping or where they may show a fault when tested. We would consider this one of our specialist areas and can repair most types of faults, although some faults are unrepairable and can need completely rewiring. In the case above we attended a property in Chorleywood WD19 and located a cable in the wall which had a screw in it, this broke the earth wire within leaving the circuit only half earthed. We were able to find and fix this cable on the day. Always be aware with fault finding, it can be very time consuming work. Always get electrical faults sorted out before any major work is undertaken.
Here we have installed an electric induction hob and double oven in Uxbridge UB10 each requiring their own dedicated power supply circuit. When it comes to installing new electric hobs and ovens, bare in mind you must ensure the cabling can handle the power load of the new appliance, not all appliances have the same power rating. We also install power to gas hobs & ovens which need power for the ignition.
This is an Electric Underfloor Heating mat installed in a loft conversion bathroom near Kensington SW3, not all underfloor heating needs this type of yellow matting but for this particular installation it was used to counter any possible movement whilst the new structure settled over the coming months. If you are having electric underfloor heating installed, make sure it is carried out by a professional installer. Badly installed UFH wont show up straight away and usually surfaces a few years later, it can be an expensive job to make good so get it right in the beginning. We also carry out repairs on faulty electric underfloor heating mats, although they are quite often beyond repair if installed badly. We have specialist in house equipment to help carry out this work.
We carry out all electrical work after the Electric Supply main fuse head and meter. This covers upgrading/replacing old cloth cabling, splitting power supplies, installingfused isolation switches and meter cupboards.
This is an example of LED lighting fitted in 2 separate bedrooms in Rickmansworth WD3. We can install most colours tailored to what you require including colour changing lighting. These can be controlled via wall switches or smart phone devices, timers or with independent on/off switches.
This is an emergency call out we attended on Christmas Eve in Colindale NW9 where the immersion tank burnt out an isolation switch. This was due to the extra usage it was getting because of guests staying for the Christmas Holidays. We also see a lot of burnt out cooker and shower switches where power ratings of the electrical devices are not taken into account when initially installed.
We can install any heating timer, programmer or thermostat you require. Wired, wireless or smart programmers, we have fitted many over the years and have also tailed wiring to suit some high powered commercial switching arrangements. We also work along side highly professional gas installers who we can follow up on this work if it becomes a gas or plumbing issue without you looking for any further tradesmen.
Here we have installed brick lights to a garden wall in Colindale, London NW9. This was controlled via wireless switching to avoid running additional wiring back into the house.
This is an indoor monitor installed in Pinner HA4 with an out side camera bell to monitor people knocking at the door. You can see who is knocking and if you decide to respond to them, talk two way. Door unlocking functions and multiple door bells and monitors are available. There are different types of systems available to suit the individual property as well as CCTV.
This is one example of an old fuse box in operation at a rented property in Fulham SW6. Although we carry many spare & obsolete parts, some fuse boxes just can't be brought up to current standards without replacing. One thing you need to take into account if you still have an old fuse board is although it may still work, tripping times are now faster in new units and will protect you and sensitive equipment from getting damaged in the event of a fault or power serge.
This is an example of old wiring we came across in Eastcote HA4 where you can see the outer red sheaf has become so brittle with age it's cracked. To add, this had an old wooden back box in the wall which could fuel a fire if something was to happen. This property was eventually rewired replacing all wooden back boxes with modern metal types.
Here we installed isolation switches in a commercial building in Chorleywood WD23 supplying power to various parts of the building. This is all 3 phase switch gear and equipment.
This is an example of outside lighting installed for a garden party in Radlett HA1. This is a nice example of where giving your garden some light can bring it to life and extend your living space.
This is an underfloor heating repair we carried out in Ealing W5. We traced the fault to an area under the toilet where the cable from the mat was floating freely across a gap in the sub main flooring. With no screen or adhesive surrounding the cable it burnt out. This is an example of where someone has tried to install electrical equipment/wiring without the knowledge and experience of the job in hand. All our electricians are professional time served engineers.
This is an isolation switch in Kensington SW10 which only on a visual inspection, (which is part of an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) carried out every 5 years on rent properties) was it discovered. It was a rented property we took over work on, which previously had a maintenance company looking after it. This melted cable was festering for quite a while to get to this stage but was not discovered probably due to minimal or inadequate inspection work. Left any longer and it could have resulted in a serious fire in the communal area at the main entrance escape route. We repaired this immediately.
We carry out all electrical work in loft areas safely and are aware of all dangerous present. All of our installation work is left safe even were the customer can not see it, All unseen work is carried out to the same standard as that on show. All electrical connections are completely enclosed, downlights are covered to prevent fires and no work is carried out which may compromise the structure of your roof or ceiling.
Earth bonding to gas & water pipes must be present where ever electric is present whether it is a domestic or commercial premises. Earth bonding is there for safety and can protect you from getting electrocuted. Without earth bonding to gas & water pipes the fuse board may not trip out in time in the event of a fault. If you are unsure we can check this and in some cases test for its presence if it can not be found. As part of this type of work we also check the main incoming earth, it is not uncommon for this to snap off over time or sometimes not be present at all.
This is a marina where we installed a power hook-up point for the boats to plug in to charge batteries and use power whilst docked. This was installed in Harefield Ubridge UB9.
Here is a before and after picture of a fuse board replacement carried out in Uxbridge UB9 2008.
This is an electric underfloor heating foil mat installed for wood flooring in Ruislip HA4. In some cases the mats need to be ultra thin to avoid raising the floor level. If needed, we can install electric underfloor heating mats to tackle this issue.
These are a few examples of old fuse boards which do not have the safety features the current consumer units now have. We test all the electrical wiring prior to this work to avoid nuisance tripping after the new fuse broad is installed. This is because newer fuse boards are more sensitive for safety purposes. We consider it bad practice do a straight forward replacement and would never approach this work without testing first for potential issues.
Here is a damaged cable we were called out to repair in Ealing W5 which was nicked by a lawn mower whilst the owner was gardening. It is a steel armoured cable used for running power outside and can withstand a lot of damage associated with outside activities. This cable was not badly damaged and could be easily repaired. Ideally it should have been buried in this particulate installation.
This is a security light we installed in Chorleywood WD18 with an override function to keep it on throughout the night if needed.
This is a gas hob and cooker extractor fan installed in Ealing W5. The gas hob was installed by a gas company we work closely with, we installed all new electrics in this kitchen including the power supply for the gas hob ignition & extractor hood fan. The extractor hood fan was vented through ducting to an outside wall vent.
This is one of the covers we fit in a loft to prevent loft insulation coming in contact with the top of downlights. Loft insulation laying on hot downlights is one of the biggest causes of house fires. Covers are rarely used by DIY enthusiasts and builders, if you have downlights it is recommended that you get them checked to prevent a potential fire.
Here we installed garden lighting in a North London property and carried out fault finding work on the patio step lights. Once the fault was traced we replaced all faulty wiring and installed wireless switching to control the lights from each level of the house. This was in preparation for summer.
This was a call out in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire WD3, to a downlight not working. Initially this would come on for a few minutes then stop working, then one day stopped working all together. When we removed the fitting we discovered it had over heated and melted the cables in the ceiling. We replaced all of the lights with safer fittings.
This was a call out to a property in Radlett WD7. The socket stopped working about a year before we were called out. We removed it to check what was wrong to find the wires had melted inside. This socket was previously overloaded with an oil heater, and 8 way extension lead which caused the wires to melt. The wires were repaired and a new socket installed.
This is a control panel we installed in brewery in East London when they first started up their business. The panel was salvaged from by the owner from another company and we installed it to run the various equipment used in the Beer making process. This included equipment such as heated tanks, pumps, refrigeration room, waterproof switches & sockets and an office area. We were using mainly 3 phases star delta equipment.
This is a commercial railway arch in East London were we installed 3 phase isolation equipment and many new circuits throughout the premises to power water heaters, pumps, office equipment and a cold room. This was a new business we helped get off the ground and on its ways to a successful future brewing beer.
Here is an example of melted wiring in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire, due to over heating in downlights
This is an example of melted wiring in Ealing due to over heating in downlights
These are 2 Sub main fused switches installed in the basement of a block of flats.
This is a before and after picture of a fuse cupboard we rewired with electrics installed by the owner in the 1940's. It was all original wiring and fuse box equipment. One socket had recently caused a fire in a bedroom. The house in Ruislip HA4 was built by the owner and his friends after work, they use to work in the old Kodak building in Headstone Drive, Radlett, HA1. The picture also shows a close up of the new fuse board with no cover, this is to show neat work on every job where you would not usually look.
This is a kitchen in Ruislip HA4 which we rewired installing new sockets, under unit LED lighting, appliances & LED downlights.
This is a before and after picture of an old obsolete bathroom fan we upgraded. Old fans can be difficult to replace especially when they are so big like this one.
This is an electric underfloor heating programmer which caught fire in Kensington because the mat it was supplying was too powerful. The power requirements for the mat need to be calculated before it is installed. This is not an uncommon sight where someone inexperienced has agreed to install underfloor heating.
