“We manage five blocks of flats in Harrow. Built in the mid-seventies, with little street lighting in the development, a good, reliable security lighting to front and back of properties was urgently needed. Dave did a totally professional installation. Now everyone feels safer. We have no hesitation in recommending Dave.”
MJG, Director, Harrow HA2
“We had a new extension built and Dave was recommended to us, he had some brilliant ideas and examples for us to look at. We found him to be the most professional, friendly and reliable electrician, nothing was too much trouble. A fantastic job inside and out.”
Sean & Norma, Sandhurst
“Our house needed a complete rewire. Dave and his team carried out the works quickly and professionally with minimal disruption, we were very happy with how the job was completed.”
Anonymous, East London
“Dave has done several pieces of work for us over the years, which includes doing a great job of installing external decking up lighters throughout our garden.”
Mr E.Cummins, N16
“The electrics in my house were, quite frankly, a mess... the tragic result of hiring some dodgy builders! Dave came around and explained in plain english what needed to be done, and then quickly and efficiently worked through my home to make everything work properly and safely. He's completely trustworthy, reliable and was a pleasure to have working in my home. I thoroughly recommend him.”
Helen, St Albans
“I first came to DKP Electrics through a friend's recommendation and used them for the first time in 2009 to install spotlights in to our bedroom and replace our plastic sockets with chrome equivalents throughout our home. I must say the prices are very reasonable and the work was completed to a high standard. So much so that I'm planning to invite DPE to assist with some major re-modelling work for our main bathroom in 2012. I highly recommend them for a friendly, responsive and competitively priced service. You won't be disappointed.”
Mr Steven Carroll, Radlett, WD7
“My fuse box kept tripping out the lights, electrician found the problem and explained exactly what was wrong. I will use again.”
Mrs Landsburg, Borehamwood, WD6
“Dave rewired my loft conversion with phone line, internet, lights and an electric shower, very pleased, he was very professional.”
Rita Dudhia, Palmers Green, N13
“i was burgled and decided to have cctv installed. I now feel safer and best of all no one has attempted to break in again, money well spent.”
Mrs J Carroll, Kingston, KT1

dkp Electrics are a Fully Approved NICEIC registered company, we are extremely thorough when inspecting properties and carry out all tests required to complete your Certificate.
As a landlord it is your responsibility to ensure that the hard wiring in your properties is safe. Wear and tear and neglect from tenants requires you to monitor the integrity of the installation more frequently than you would in your own home. This is why a Periodic Condition Report must be carried out every 5 years and on change of tenancy. This may not be requested from you when consulting with a letting agent, but it is part of the landlord's agreement.*
Although you may not be asked for a certificate; in the event of an electrical fire or injury sustained from an electric shock, you would be liable and would need to provide proof that adequate steps (routine maintenance/safety checks) have been taken to prevent such accidents occurring. This is especially important as without proof of this, Insurers may well refuse a Claim if such an event takes place.
This may not be requested from you when consulting with a letting agent, but is part of the landlord's agreement and just as important as a gas safety certificate.
As the owner of your property, it is important to make sure that when ordering installation work it's not only done correctly and to a high standard, but is also accompanied by a certificate, preferably by a recognised body such as the NICEIC. This would confirm all work meets current Wiring and Building Regulations as well as assuring you peace of mind that the installation is safe. The vast majority of work these days require Registration with Building control, especially kitchens and bathrooms. All our work comes with an NICEIC Certificate and includes Registration with your local Building Control Office (where applicable). There are many Certificates available for different types of electrical work and it's easy to get confused, so if you are unsure give us a call and we will be happy to help.
We do not charge VAT so our prices are straightforward. What you see is what you get!
